Our Story

In late 2021, Dr Wian van der Walt was introduced to Polish dentist, Dr WW Iwanik, who was a well-respected dentist who had been practising in the Brooklyn area for many years. Dr Van der Walt realised that there was a need for after-hours emergency dental care in Pretoria and contacted

Dr Van der Walt realised that there was a need for after-hours emergency dental care in Pretoria and contacted Dr Iwanik to find out if he could use his practice to attend to patients with emergencies after-hours. “I can still recall how Dr Iwanik looked at me in disbelief when I told him about my idea. He laughed and shouted in his thick Polish accent, “You’re crazy! Aren’t you already tired enough of this job?”, and handed me the keys to his practice.”

Dr Van der Walt officially took over the practice in May 2022 and had his sights set on continuing to deliver high-quality dental care, slowly, efficiently and with integrity, whether it’s day or night, rain or shine.
